TO THE SON RUN!!!

In memory of Earl S. (Son) Von Burg

 

It is with a sad heart that I have to cancel this event.
We are unable to obtain insurance as of two months out and we've simply run out of time to get everything done.
Hopefully we will be able to do this next year, hopefully we will see you there!

A BENEFIT 5K RUN/WALK EVENT
Saturday September 21, 2013 
This is a run to benefit local uninsured cancer patients.
 
Gearing up for the 4th annual Son Run!
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
In our different circles of friends and family, we all know at least one person who is going though cancer treatment.  What we don't know, unless we've gone through it, is that it's very expensive!  These people need our help, especially the middle income folks.  They don't qualify for most of the help programs, so they are stuck with an ever increasing bill even after they are through!   There is one program that you quailfy for, if you don't qualify for any other, the Cummings family fund.  That's where the money we raise goes.
 Now lots of people think that the American Cancer Society will help with treatment bills, they don't.  The money collected goes to research, education, advocacy and service.

This run is the result of our family wanting to do something together for others, in memory of Earl Von Burg who passed away six years ago after a courageous 12 year battle with cancer. 
Our Dad, Brother, Husband, Grandpa, Uncle, and Friend.
